Poured-in-place rubber surfacing is now a standard in the design of modern children’s playgrounds. The reason is simple: it is a material that combines a high level of safety, durability, and complete freedom in shaping the space.

Key advantages of poured rubber:
- Impact-absorbing properties – reduces impact and lowers the risk of injuries
- Slip resistance – safe movement even in wet conditions
- Permeability – the playground dries quickly and can be used year-round
- Seamless surface – no tripping hazards
- Design flexibility – zones, games, and educational elements can be integrated directly into the surface
- Easy maintenance and long lifespan

Kindergarten Ljubičica: a functionally zoned playground
On the Kindergarten Ljubičica project, where we installed poured rubber surfacing, the focus was on a clear division of space and encouraging different types of children’s play. The playground itself is organized into several zones that allow children to play, run, develop motor skills and coordination, overcome challenges, and engage in exploratory play.

For this project, poured rubber surfacing supplied by Liber Media d.o.o. was used. Their materials meet high standards of quality and safety. High-quality EPDM granules are essential for durability, color stability, and resistance to intensive use.
Our Lumeg-in team was responsible for the professional installation, with special attention given to precise sub-base preparation, correct layer thickness according to each zone, and high-quality finishing and detailing.
